New Batch of PPU 6.5 Grendel

Has anyone shot any of this yet? I received a few boxes of the 120 HPBT, planning on shooting some this weekend but wondering what to expect. I didn't have a Grendel last time it was available and so far have just shot Hornady SST (very good accuracy), ELD-M (mediocre), and Wolf FMJ (mediocre).

I have shot a few thousand rounds of it.

Shot just fine for plinking in my ar grendels banging steel and would hold sub moa from my cz grendel.

The brass from the rounds I fired is really good for reloading.

You've shot a few thousand rounds of the new batch?
      Let's go Brandon!

Shot around 400 rds of new RifleLine. Shoots pretty consistent 1.75" with ocassional fliers from an 18" JP and 16"SixSigma/Lilja gb barrel.
Reloading the same bullet (weight sorted), over Tac, full length sized Hdy brass, #450s, seated to mag length get me 1.1" at 2450/2435 respectively from same barrels. No pressure signs at 70 degree temp, 4600 elevation. Fwiw.

Addendum to previous post. By seated to mag length, I still seat cbto, set as long as posibble to ensure fit in ASCs and Duramags.

No. The original run of it before the scamdimec hit.

The loads list online for sale now look to be the same loads.

Went to the range and it shot decently, pretty close to same POI as factory SST which is nice. The ELD-M was shooting a little better than before too. Hoping I'll see some hogs this weekend. I know PPU has fiddled around with their Grendel recipes over the years with different primer sizes, recalls, etc so that's why I was curious about this new batch.

Is it possible that this newer run of PPU is better than the first. The first was reported to be soft. Or maybe PPU adjusted the pressure, different powder? I am finding brass on the ground at out-door ranges. I picked it up but wondered if it is only good for a few reloads.

I have some of the previous lot(s) imported and have been shooting steel to 400m with the recently imported batch the last week.
I have magneto data for the previous lot it in my lab books, not with me at the moment. I did not think to get velocities on this new batch. Planning to be out again Monday. I'll get some general comparisons between batches.

I've only shot a yote and fox near my chickens at 80-90 yds. Not much left of them. Probably be ok for deer, if you avoid quarting shots that would hit bone other than ribs. Wouldn't be my first bullet choice but would surely do the deed.

First thing at the range yesterday after a couple sighters to warm my barrel, was shoot the reloaded bullet as I previously loaded, going down .001" from the stock .287 bushing on a Redding die. Loaded 5 rds, group tightened up to .700 measured with a steel scale. No unexpected changes in velocity. No pres signs. Enough evidence to load more with the smaller bushing. This was thru the 18" JP.

The last lot of factory Rifleline before the recent drought and the new lot now available shoot similarly from the rifle. Avg fps on the new stuff is near 25fps faster on the magnetospeed. A 10 shot string of the recent stuff had 8 in a .800" vertical and 1.4" horizontal disperstion at 100m with 2 rounds an inch below those. I suspect some of the horz dispersion was from shooting w/bipod off a concrete bench and/or shooter induced from guys shooting tannerite next to us. No difficuly shooting 12w x 30 tall plates at 565 yds. Plate was to beat up to measure dispersion.

Thanks for the update. Guessing the Rifleline is good to go then, that older lot and this newer one. Good to see the accuracy was similar, probably within lot to lot variations.

I ordered a few more boxes, should keep me satisfied until more SST shows up. When I went hunting last weekend no hogs showed up but maybe this weekend. I've managed to shoot a hog with every gun I've taken hog hunting except the Grendel, I think they know something.
