I'm thinking of a new build with a terminus action and spinning up one of barrel's for the grendel. Has anyone tried or have a load using R26 ? I'd be interested in hearing what you guys run/pushing in bolt guns.

Shooters World Match Rifle and SW Tactical are also pretty good powders but are more temp sensitive than some of the ones myrifle mentioned.Last edited by jasper2408; 07-24-2022, 09:06 PM.

R26 is one of their slowest which means you will run out of case space long before you reach max pressure. 30% will be unburnt out the end of the muzzle and you will only get about 2,000fps. But it is safe for plinking, if you don't mind flames at night and larger than otherwise group sizes.
R15 is closer to optimum.

I don't shoot heavier than 123 in this calibre - the case is too small. 123 is a great compromise for maximizing distance in a Grendel but it gets there slower than a wet week. Grendel shines at shorter ranges and hunting small-medium game with lighter bullets.
