The hunter needs to do enough range sessions over time to assure that his or her zero remains the same and that day-to- shooting accuracy is learned. The preferred zero for hunting is 1.5 inches above the crosshairs at 100 yards. Almost all rifles will attain close to their maximum point blank range with this setting. We suggest a method for doing this and offer targets designed to help verify the hunting zero.

Wow! I did not know that one could get an off the shelf Grendel weighing that much!

Is the rifle dedicated to some form of competitive shooting?

It has a Uintah upper with a 22" stainless steel barrel. I have one in 6mm ARC. They aren't light weight. You can get 'em with a fiber wrapped barrel if you want a lighter rifle. Yeah, they could be used for competitive shooting with the right ammo. As far as being dedicated, that's up to the owner. Uintah guarantees 1 MOA with factory match ammo. With the right hand loads, you could do better than 1 MOA as Diane demonstrated.

The Uintah Precision UPR15 is a true bolt action upper for your mil-spec AR15 lower. The UPR15 brings the accuracy of a bolt action rifle to the most popular platform in the United States. Squeeze the most accuracy out of your AR, with a Uintah Precision UPR15 and our MOA guarantee. We guarantee that our UPR’s will shoot 1 MOA or better with factory match ammo. Go from semi auto fire to long range bolt action precision in seconds, with no modification to your lower. Make it a Complete Package

Good shooting. My BA 20" barrel also likes AA2520 with 123gr Hornady bullets. ELDs in my case. I got my best groups out of higher loadings though, for whatever reason. 29.3 - 29.6 gr.
