That's what I was told by my local reloading supply shop. No plans to make anything but .224 and .308 for the rest of the year. She had an email on the counter behind her that apparently came out last Wednesday. In .224 it's 55, 60, 69 and 77. I don't know which 55s. Presumably the S/TMKs in the rest. All the high volume stuff. 9 in total. Remember who cares about your business down the road. They're already making 50% more per bullet and they need to milk it for every last penny.......
No Sierra 6mm, 6.5mm or 7mm bullets will be made until 2022

This was after I called Sierra this morning to get dimensions of the discontinued 6mm 90 gr FMJ. I asked if they were going to be doing a run of 6mm 95 gr TMKs any time soon. He said "I am not aware of that being in our production schedule."
What I find hard to believe is how many people are still shooting 30 cal. It's 2021, after all.Let's go Brandon!

That stinks, I like some of their bullets. Have some to shoot but yeah haven't seen any more.
Hornady is making some 6mm, 6.5mm's ... I see them pop up every now and then.
And Sierra just bought the Barnes' from Remmy's ... guess that means no Barnes's for a while too?"Down the floor, out the door, Go Brandon Go!!!!!"

Their decision makes sense to me. They see that the demand is for 5.56 and 7.62, see what types of each and focus totally on those bullets until the demand is met. Then they go into the next most popular caliber and bullet.
I do find it odd that they would ignore the 6.5mm bullets since the Creedmoor is so popular. That is kind of strange but we may not be getting the full story either.

Ammo companies are so out of the loop as far as being able to keep up with any demand. Seems like ramping up years ago would have made a costly investment into BILLIONS of dollars. "IF " they actually knew or cared about what they were doing!
Rumors are going around where I live that MOST gun shops are putting what few components and ammo selection they are getting in STRAIGHT ONTO Gunbroker. Can't say I blame them!
