I have found ppu a little hotter than most ammo.

Ppu seems to always be available too.

I'm wondering if what I found is the reason for their ammo being hotter. Ordered a couple hundred 6.5 PPU 120gr soft point BT bullets. I have found they are about .0015 to .002 larger in diameter than my 120 gr speer. They would not hand fit in the neck of a fired case, the speer would.

Just an observation, but I will be careful bringing these up to speed.
