i was reviewing some of my data on my 100gr hand loads. 28.5 gr benchmark produced great groups and a sd of 4.1. velocity was 2642fps, seems kind of low seeing i was getting 2500fps from factory 123gr hornady black. just trying to decide of i should keep working higher or not.

IMO,2642 FPS is not that low.And if you are getting great groups like you say,why change anything? I have a friend who uses CFE223. Is velocity is much higher but his groups aren’t worth a flip. What are you planning to do with those bullets?
I am using H335 w/90 gr speer TNT.Out of my Criterion 22” Hbar I am getting around 2770 FPS.My buddy told me I should max out my loads and get 2900fps.But why.?Higher velocity does not always mean better accuracy. My groups are 1/2” to 3/4” @ 100 yrds. For hunting hogs out to 150yrds it will more than suffice.
For me,accuracy is the goal.

I broke 3000 fps with a 85 grain bullet in my howa bolt action 20 inch barrel with h335 but the groups weren't there. Backed it down to a cool 2882 average velocity and it's a tack driver.
