I noticed tonight that Academy has Hornady 123gr Black listed as BTHP. Just wondering if it is just a rebranded American Gunner for Academy stores. Anyone else notice this?

Hornady does the same thing with pistol ammo. Hornady Custom 9 mm 115 grain XTP is more expensive than 9 mm American Gunner 115 grain XTP. They do the same thing with 380 Auto, 90 grain XTP is more expensive than American Gunner 380 90 grain XTP. Hornady has said the ammo is exactly the same but they just use a different marketing model.
I would choose 123 grain ELD-M over Hornady 123 grain BTHP 6.5 Grendel ammo every time if the price was close to the same.

Cabelas is listing it weird too
6.5 grendel with the "SST" bullet in the Black line... https://www.cabelas.com/product/shoo...1.uts?slotId=2
But then under the "black" line link... it's listed as the eldm https://www.cabelas.com/product/shoo...8.uts?slotId=0

Is it the same as the bulk American Gunner from Sportsman's Warehouse?

I bloody HATE marketing... Yes, it seems that what used to be a good deal (waaaaay back when) AG HPBT thru SW has been rebranded as HPBT Black... WhattheFever...
Best as of 8/16/19...
LAX Ammo $0.7900 + s/h = #81511 123 AG HPBT 200x$0.8634=$172.67
SGAmmo $0.8290 + s/h = #81512 123 BLK HPBT 240x$0.8792 = $211.00
Carolina Munitions $0.7402 + s/h = #81528 123 BLK ELD-M 200x$0.9340 = $186.80 even with the outrageous s/h...
Wow, a WHOLE nickel/rd off the ELD-M cost vs: the AGunner, Wadda Deal. Hold me back.Last edited by AZHTfreak; 08-16-2019, 11:06 PM.DOJ+FBI+IRS+AFT=NKVD. Joe Stalin and Lavrentiy Pavlovich Beria are tap dancing in hell right now...
