    PPU 6.5 Grendel available again?

I received an ad for some PPU 6.5 Grendel 100gr Brass case ammo.
Is this new ammo (they had pulled their ammo in 2016 I believe)? Is it safe?
What size primer doe they now use?

Good Lord. Grendel Ammo uses roughly the same gear and materials as 7.62X39 ammo and has such a demand that it insta-sells out for anything priced merely double the margin of what same-cost 7.62X39 goes for. You'd think they'd be on this like Democrat's at the congressional junket plane.

I ordered 200 once fired cases recently in preparation for my Grendel build and 40 of them were PPU - large primer pockets.

I'll probably load them but will start with a low charge and slow powder (BL-C2) and keep an eye on them - if they have loose primer pockets, they will not be used...

That’s good to hear I send them an email about every five or six months asking them to manufacture 6.5 Grendel ammo. I ‘ve also emailed Fiocchi with no results.

Funny thing is PPU lists three Grendel loads in their European catalog. And list two Grendel bullets as components in the US one. They have two 123 gr bullets; a.264 and a .263 diameter.

Lots of companies supposedly have Grendel things on their to do list, but so many never make it the to done list.

I'd bug Remington but I'm afraid they would just screw it up.

Did PPU use large rifle primers and not the small like other mfgs?

Correct, PPU used large rifle primers in their 6.5 Grendel brass. The Wolf Gold ammo was manufactured by Prvi Partizan used PPU brass with large rifle primers.

Glad you at least got some kind of answer. I emailed them almost a month back and never received a reply at all.

I’ve always loved the 120MPT load, and it’s disappearance has been a burr under my saddle ever since.
