A Friend has a Satern/Liberty 18” barrel he got from Brownell’s and he and I shoot quite a few 123 grain Nosler Custom Competition with 31.0 grains CFE223 powder with CCI 450 primers in Hornady or Lapua cases. His button rifled barrel is more accurate with 120 grain Sierra Match Kings but my barrels shoot the Nosler CC accurately. I suggest you start low and work up and use primers with thicker cups like magnum small rifle, CCI 41 or Federal AR primers.

Mine likes 30 grains of CFE with a CCI 450 primer,it is a 20 inch barrel. IT is the most accurate load I have found for this rifle.

          What COAL are you using?
          2.250" or 2.260"

The tip or nose of match bullets can be inconsistent in length so I generally seat short enough so the rounds don’t drag inside the mag body. I check consistency by measuring off the ogive but the nose of my reloads with 123 grain Nosler CC are usually between 2.50 and 2.55. It is generally accepted the COAL for AR-15 magazine is 2.260 but Nosler tested the 123 grain CC at 2.250. Some mags will allow cartridges longer than 2.260 but I’ve never needed to seat bullets that long. The compound throat in my SAAMI spec 6.5 Grendel chambers seem to be very forgiving in shooting bullets accurately as long as the bullet is not jammed into the bullet lands.
