Use at your own risk. I have used this since building my Grendel. I was using it for cheap target ammo. Well, one decided it would NOT eject. It blew itself apart in the chamber around the rim. So, all the pressure had to be released somewhere. It blew the lower (E3 Arms Gen II poly) apart and blew the end out of the new 25 rd ASC mag. The Toolcraft bolt and carrier was damaged, also. Not sure if the Anderson upper survived, but I think it did. Well, lifetime guarantee on the lower and Toolcraft bolt, so I will see if the honor it. It took me an hour to get the remainder of the case out of the barrel. What is weird is I put seven rounds through it before it happened, so you never know. I examined the casings of all of them and no signs of over pressure. The primers look as the always do. These seem to flatten a little, but no crater signs on the primer and only very slight ejector marks. I had one case with a crack, but I had experienced a few cracks in the sides of the casing near the neck, as others have seen this too. I have probably put a hundred of these rounds through the Grendel since building. The rifle had been cleaned and oiled after the last firing.
I did a little research and low and behold, I guy with a M1 Garand(308) had the same thing happen and the casing looked almost identical to what happened to me. Gong to call Wolf, E3 Arms, and Toolcraft tomorrow and see what they will do. I have about 400 rds left that might come up for sale. Thinking switching to only brass from now on.
