Nordy55, Speer has loading data online and list AR Comp with a Speer 120 grain Gold Dot, starting load is 22.8 grains of AR Comp. The Speer data is from a 24” barrel in a test receiver and the minimum load produced 2235 FPS. Speer used Federal Gold Medal Match AR (GM205MAR) rifle primers in their data.

Other online sources for 6.5 Grendel loading data.

I started out with the Sticky Link in the ammo and reloading Thread called Preferred Loads. It has so much information, I am sure you will find what you are looking for.

For that weight range I would get some Hornady factory ammo in 123sst, and 123 eldm (black), shoot them and then get the sst/eldm 123 bullets for whichever shoots better, look online/ in the above-mentioned load books and ladder/work up to MV's towards the factory ammo (adjusted for barrel length).
This not only gets you started but is an economical cross check method, the factory Hornady usually shoots very well (now for some it doesn't so there's no guarantees).
CFE223 works really well for the Hornady 123's.

Yes, I find it odd that there are a lot of reports of plus 1" and 2" groups with it. It was the go-to ammo to test a barrel with because everyone was shooting sub MOA with it last year.

            Catchy sig line here.

It does pay to try different bullets when you kind of get a base line. Factory 123 SST shoots average 1" in my Odenworks 18" but so far in my Bear Creek Arsenal 20" it shoots about 3 1/2" groups at 100 yards. But even with handloads and the 123 SST the BCA does not shoot better than 2 1/2" but with 120 Sierra Pro Hunters it is much better. The BCA may come in better with some more shooting. From what I read they need 50 to 100 rounds down the tube to start to show it's potential. My OdenWorks barrel is a shooter from the get go with sub MOA with most anything you feed it.
