I'm going to order a set of Hornady dies from Midway.
What's with the bullet deal ?

Look at the dies on the site, click on whatever button there is for "rebate." Read the details.
100 free bulllets, check box on list. $6.95 S/H. This year they've added 6.5mm 129g Interlocks, worth about $30.

No bullets were shown on Midways checkout, just a survey to get magazines.
            Anyways, dies are ordered.

Klem, can you tell me if you have done any seating depth accuracy testing with the 120 NBT? Just curious is it likes a jump or close to the lands?

I can PM some info if you can’t find it.

Here is a link to AA reloading data.

Sierra also has their data listed on their site.

                          nubi,
I don't have the luxury of testing for jump as the internal mag length limits the COAL to 58mm. The bullet touches lands at just over 60mm. That represents a big compulsory jump. There's no point making it even shorter and there is also plenty of bearing surface making contact with the inside neck.

My 120NBT load is 28.5gn of H4895, 58mm COAL CCI450 primers, Lapua cases.

That is about where my mag limit is also, 2.285. I was looking at going the other way...., shorter COAL. 100 Nosler Ballistic Tips shoots well for me at 2.23 COAL which is .089 jump (2.26mm) and there is not that much of a different in the ogives of 120 and 100 NBT.

My self and a friend started using the AA 120gr NBT load with great results in accuracy and as a deer load for hunting back in 2008 (I'm a old guy who used a 6.5 X 55 before it was cool, creedmore? who is that?) . The AA reload info lists BL-C(2) with the 120 NBT. I've been able to duplicate it with similar results since they no longer load it. 8620XBR is my next go to powder . Also had some good loads with H4895 and CFE223 with NBT and other 120gr bullets. As for a deer load we have never had one go more than 40yds being hit as far as 300yds. I also use a set of custom dies cut for me by Whidden Gunworks in Nashville ,Ga. Give him a look , the man knows long range shooting !!!

8620XBR ???? Did you mean IMR 8208XBR? I also was shooting the 6.5x55 long before most any of the 6.5s these days came along and became cool.
