    Speer 65G Load Data

Go to the Speer/Ammo website and check out there free data. Not all cartridges are there but the Grendel is. And they definitely are testing some powders we probably haven't considered.

    Nice info.

Be careful though, they are publishing data using Federal 205 primers....

Thanks! Interesting. But I can't find where they list the barrel length they used for their testing. I'm guessing 24" because the 90gr is listed at over 3000fps.

It is a 24" barrel. Their website displays the data in a couple different formats. Here's the one with some details:

The more I learn, the less I think I know about reloading. Speer's loads for the 120 gr seem a little light compared to some other published data (which granted uses different bullets).

Bless their hearts though, for publishing data for AR-Comp.

Conflicting information too....may or may not be apples to oranges since they are using their own bullets, not to be taken as a charge weight for any bullet of that grain.

IIRC It was Sierra that published that Alliant Power Pro Varmint was the fastest powder under any of their projectiles. http://www.65grendel.com/forum/showt...erra-Load-Data

Looks like Alliant Power Pro Varmint is corroborating with Sierra data as one of the fastest, like AA2520, across the board.

I wonder how PPV and 2520 compare on a burn-rate chart?

I picked up a lb of PPV yesterday. I plan on doing some load testing using my 18" .264 on the 107smk and 123smk sometime this month.

K, very cool. Gonna follow your results. I just bought H335 for lighters, CFE and XBR for mediums, and LVR for 130s. Be nice to get one all-around performer like 2520.
