    120gr TSX

Will a barrel in 264LBC with 8.5 twist work with Alexander 6.5 Grendel 120gr tsx ammo. I have a date with a Red Deer Hind. I'm planning on take a shot under 200yrds. I do have some factory 123gr SST and 123gr ELD. Unfortunately the custom barrel will be arriving next week and I have the hunt the following week so no time to play with reloading. Thank you for any input.

Just do some shooting with your ammo--- They should all hit in same spot- 6" circle---- I shot a ton of all copper pills, all good as to comparable wts. Of lead based.

I'm pushing hard for some 105---07 lead free pills now. Mainstream idealism is 123-gr. Cup core pills, Still need lighter Copper pills for smaller deer down south.

Same profile as the 120 class of pills...

Lrrfp 52 has some good data on the 120tsx.

You should be fine. I have a barrel in 8 twist 6.5 LBC, which is essentially the same as 264 LBC, and it shoots the 100 ttsx sub moa consistently. Your 8.5 twist should not have any problems stabilizng the 120 tsx. I'd be surprised if the AA ammo shot more than 3 moa at 200 yards. Even the cheap PPU ammo has not shot more than 2 moa in all 4 of my grendel rifles.
