Shooters World Powders

Sorry if this has been covered, i looked, no find.

Powder Valley sells Shooters World (Lovex) powders.

Their D073-06 is claimed to be similar to Accurate 2520.

Anyone try this powder in the Grendel?

Shooters World has no load data for the Grendel

I contacted them, and they said to use Accurate 2520 data for the D073-06 powder.

Think I'm gunna get me some.

I know you guys are not fans of Quickload, but FYI, the powder profile in QL for 2520 and D073-06 are identical.

Downloaded manual and says powders are made in Czech Republic. Wasn't AA2520 made in Belgium? So don't think it's exactly same, but, hey, if performance is same . . . very cool!

Cool beans! An alternative on powders to some that are here- yet some are hard to find. Be safe, start loads 2 grns. less ! Who knows the quality control devices that are in place. ?

You are correct but from what I have been reading other places I think Western Powders contracted with Lovex at one time for powder and likely shared Specs for production that could be labeled and sold as either Accurate or Ramshot powders.

Western data has AA2520 being either the fastest or second-fastest among ALL bullet weights in the 6.5 Grendel. Can it be THAT miraculous? I know it was Bill A.'s early favorite powder.

I like to get powders locally to avoid hazmat fees — and I've got a few other projects in line ahead — but this is definitely something to put on the list.

Bill A. says Lovex D073-06 is "almost AA2520," and is from the same original manufacturer and is "good stuff." If I may be allowed to translate his typically understated British, I think he means it's "freakin' awesome!"

He did say that, long-term, it'll have to prove itself with batch-to-batch consistency, but, in general, they are "very good powders."

I still have some of the Chech made AA2520 and it makes accurate loads for my 308 and 22-250.
It shoots sub MOA and meters great.
It is very good powder and I'm getting some next time I buy powder.
