    I have only loaded the 100gr AMAX but it is a good combo.

      Yes I tried that with no luck.

      I thought it might work, but no luck from my 16" Shilen.

      Much better results using 8208....and 100 grain bullets.

        If you look at Hodgdon's data in Volume I of the 6.5 Grendel Reloading Handbooks, 8208XBR is the most efficient powder with the 100gr Nosler BT. They have that specific combo. They basically couldn't get enough of it in the case, and still maxed out at 47,600psi with a 30.8gr Compressed load. They saw the same speeds as H335, Benchmark, and H322, but with 2100-2300psi less.

          Some bullets need close to 50,000 psi to develop optimum accuracy.

          Even though one can get excellent velocity with CFE 223, it is hard to get pressures that high with the lighter bullets.

            I recall seeing a load here of 34 grains but there was not any discussion about whether that was decent if not the best.
