  • Brownells 10 rnd Grendel mags

Anyone use these? They are pictured with a blue follower. Are these the ASC made mags or another brand? I am looking for a couple of 10 rnd 6.5 Grendle mags for my AR build. I just tried 2 ASC mags in a 7.62X39 AR and neither held the bolt open, all other mags work so I a little hesitant to get ASC mags. Any suggestions?
    Thanks, Ken

I ended up ordering the 2 mags from Brownells and when I ordered them they were listed as ASC. I was looking at my 7.62x39 AR that had the issues with the ASC mags and I pushed the bolt hold open and now the mags lock the bolt on the last shot. Maybe the rifle is short stroking just enough to not lock the bolt back? It's a new rifle with approx 150 rounds through it in 2 range trips.

The only company making Grendel mags currently is ASC. If someone has Grendel mags, with a blue follower, they are ASC. They also manufacture the AA mags, then AA runs a QC check on them before sending them on to customers.

I sent an email to ASC about the 7.62X39 mags not working. I heard back from ASC last night and they said there were problems with the 10 rnd 7.62X39 mags and they required some changes to the followers. Anyway they are sending me 2 of the new followers to replace the ones in the mags I have. Great customer service.
