Bolt action Hornady 129 Interbond load

Spent the day at the range today with CFE 223 and Hornady 129 Interbond. Ran a safety ladder and OCW development.

I settled with 31.8 grains of CFE 223 with 129 IB; CCI 450; AA brass. This was giving me 2550 fps, just under MOA at 200 yards with slight flattening of primers. See attached for details.

You think that load 31.5 is to much for a AR?

Hornady lists 31.7 grains of CFE 223 as max load for ARs. At 31.5 in my gun with COL at 2.360", I had no issues (more room for powder, but closer to lands than AR gun). YMMV. I purposely did not post this in the Reloading section since I don't want anyone to transfer what I did directly to their AR. Start low, and work up.

I consulted quite a bit with a very experienced and knowledgeable forum member before striking out.

I've included a pic of the center points of my OCW groups (3 shots each charge weight). I basically chose between charge weight 3 and 4 as a likely node candidate.

With hornady reloading data its showing slower velocities than AA2520.

Yes, but AA 2520 is faster than CFE 223. After my CO hunting trip, I may experiment with AA 2520 to see what I can get.
